This old porch is where I’m most at home. Mostly, it’s about being a dad, trying to teach my little girl about the world but finding out that I’m experiencing a lot of life for the first time. This old porch is everywhere I’ve been and it’s each new step, because place, where we stand at any given moment, shapes us. It’s about a path almost 40 years long and it’s the small steps and daily discoveries of things long overlooked. This old porch has expansive views, but the most exciting times happen right there, in the backyard, just a step or two away, just a minute or two ago. And here comes another one, now.
