I haven't even let myself watch the Omen!
Fortunately, no other characters, living or stuffed, have gone over the edge in the past several weeks.

Oooh. At 10 he should know what it's all about.
At 2, Mod probably just thought ... well, anyway, I was closer to her mom than she was, and that didn't set well.
I thought about a trip wire with bells or something, as a signal.

One word: lock. Your door, that is.
This happened to us. With the 10-year-old. The lights were out, but still.

Interesting.
I'm mostly beyond that now. As long as I have some privacy.
In fact, I've considered writing books detailing and rating the best public restrooms in given areas.
For instance, there's a fancy hotel across the street from my office. It's a wonderful place, and always my first preference.

So much to respond to here, but I'm going to focus on the fear of/ reluctance to poop in places other than home. I had a boyfriend in college with this hang up. He said he didn't want to "leave it just anywhere." Which seemed to assign some kind of high value to his poop, that he wanted to be sure to keep it all at home. Strange.

Yeah, I know. I'm just now getting back to this.
The conference was great! It was well attended. The guys really pulled off an amazing feat, on a shoestring budget. There were presenters from ... well, you can read it in the wiki. Bottom line -- blogs are the new water cooler, the new scientific journal, the new study group. Scientists are using blogs in very creative ways, just at a time when the country needs better access to relevant science information. Much applause, Coturnix and Anton! I look forward to next year's.

Yeah, Ferber's the guy who was misquoted, for years, as saying parents should let their kids cry it out. Recently he corrected the misconception and said parents should do whatever works best. ??

Have you heard of / tried this book? Solve Your Child's Sleep Problems by Richard Ferber. It really improved life for a friend of mine. (I think this is the right book, I'll double check).
